When you send the contact form, we collect your name, your e-mail address and your telephone number solely in order to answer your enquiry. This data is never sold or passed on to third parties without your express consent. All data is processed in Germany in accordance with the GDPR.
Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Contact: contact@medvicihealth.com
MedVici Health stores the following entries in the browser's localStorage — on your device only, with no transmission: mv_consent (cookie and consent decision — 12 months), mv_lang (selected interface language — permanent), mv_profile (anonymous personalisation: gender, specialty, country, occasion — only if you actively save it), mv_newsletter (newsletter sign-ups until the backend is connected). All entries are either required for operation under § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG or are set after your express consent. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
Contact form data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (pre-contractual measure). Server log data on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest).
Contact form data is stored for up to 3 years after your enquiry has been concluded. Server logs are deleted automatically after 7 days.
To understand which content is found and read, we measure visits to this website using Matomo. Matomo runs on our own server in Germany. No cookies are set and no information is stored on your device; consent under § 25 TDDDG is therefore not required. There is no transfer to third parties and no transfer to third countries. Data processed: the page visited and the time, the referring page, clicks on outbound links, abbreviated browser and device information, and your IP address, which is truncated by two bytes before storage (for IPv6, the last two groups). To group several page views into one visit within a single day, Matomo derives a pseudonymous identifier from the truncated IP address and the browser signature. This does not allow us to identify you, and we do not attempt to. Purpose: to recognise which specialist content, which clinic and practice profiles and which language versions are used, so that we can improve them and add what is missing. We do not measure in order to serve advertising or to build profiles. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in designing a health platform offered in 26 languages according to actual need. As no cookies are set, no data is passed on and the IP address is truncated, our assessment is that your interests do not override ours. Retention period: 60 days. After that, the raw visit data is deleted automatically. Only aggregated statistics remain, which can no longer be related to individual visits. Do Not Track: if your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, you are not counted. You can switch this signal on in your browser settings. Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): you may object to the measurement at any time — via your browser's Do Not Track signal or by writing to contact@medvicihealth.com. An objection has no disadvantages for your use of this website. We do not use Google Analytics. Should that change, it will happen only with your prior consent, and this section will be amended beforehand.
We do not accept medical documents by e-mail. For medical reports, doctors' letters and imaging, we send you a secure upload link. Your files are encrypted in your browser before they are sent; on our server in Germany they are stored only in encrypted form, and only we can open them. We process this health data (Art. 9 GDPR) solely on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) and only to handle your request. We pass it on to a hospital, a practice or a doctor only if you have confirmed that facility by name beforehand. Files are deleted from the server as soon as we have retrieved them; incomplete uploads after seven days. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by e-mail to contact@medvicihealth.com.
Our search lists hospitals, practices and physiotherapy providers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For this we process professional information that the facilities have published themselves or that comes from official and open directories such as OpenStreetMap: the facility's name, address, specialty and website, and the name of the owner where it forms part of the facility's name. The purpose is to give patients a complete and neutral overview of available care. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not rate individuals. Whether a facility is a MedVici partner does not affect the order of search results. You can object to being listed at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) by e-mail to contact@medvicihealth.com. The entry will then be removed and not added again. Partner profiles with additional information, for example about the team, are created only with the facility's consent.
MedVici Media lists scientific publications from hospitals and physicians. For this we process the names of the authors, the institution stated in the publication with department and city, where available the ORCID iD, and the title, journal, date and DOI of the work. The data come from publicly accessible literature databases – PubMed of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and OpenAlex – not from you. The purpose is transparency about the scientific work of institutions and people and orientation for patients. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We only attribute a publication to a person when the name and their own institution match within the same publication. We do not rate individuals and do not compile rankings. You can object to being listed at any time (Art. 21 GDPR), request correction of a wrong attribution (Art. 16 GDPR) and obtain access (Art. 15 GDPR) – via the report link on the entry or by e-mail to contact@medvicihealth.com. We correct or remove within 48 hours; after an objection only a blocking note remains so that the entry does not return. Data are stored for as long as the entry is listed.
